Grudin-Williams Family, (F.T. 40 hrs. / P.T. 4-8 hr. day): Learning activities evolved as girls grew, each one participating in same activities, but scaled to their age/ability and interest at the time. Alphabet and number recognition, tracing and printing, phonetic reading, light math (addition and subtraction); American Sign Language; puzzles (jigsaw, word puzzles, mazes and dot-to-dot); board games; story-telling/reading; gardening (flowers & vegetables), cooking/baking. Arts and crafts were a substantial amount of activities. Outdoor activities: Trips to parks, museums, zoos, library, Kindermusik. Many other activities!

Scallen Family, (P.T. 3-4 hr. day):
Activities were pared to the age level/interest of individual boy: Puzzles (word puzzles, mazes and dot-to-dot), games (indoor & outdoor), arts & crafts, reading/storytelling, and joined in imaginative play such as Pirates and Star Wars. Severe food allergies in children were of major concern in household. Prepared foods pertaining to dietary restrictions; knowledgeable of reaction signs and treatment.

Glanz Family, (P.T. 3-4 hr. day):
Activities were frequently directed per interest: reading, story-telling, dress-up, arts and crafts, outdoor play and board games.

Children’s age range was 3-4 yrs. Activities: alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, arts & crafts, puzzles, story circle, outdoor/indoor play per teaching plan.

Children’s age range 4-5 yrs. Activities: alphabet, numbers, printing/tracing, phonetic reading, beginning math, arts & crafts, music/singing, outdoor play.

Children’s age range 3-6 mos. Activities: Hand-held feeding and plenty of cuddling/rocking.

Children’s ages range 6-12 mos. Activities: Read board books and picture books, water play, coloring, finger painting. Play on indoor/outdoor playground equipment scaled to age, assisting in development of gross motor skills.
